Agri Drone development and implementation is one such technology that has the potential to transform India’s farming landscape. Drones have been recognized and adopted in other countries such as China, Japan, the United States, and Brazil. India, too, has the potential to embrace drones in agriculture, as drones may assist farmers in practicing precision and focused farming. This will assist them in improving crop efficiency while cutting overall expenditures. Farmers can increase the efficiency of water, fertilizers, pesticides, crop quality and yield, and overall productivity<\/strong> by using precision agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the ICAR-NIASM research “Use of Drones in Agriculture: Potentials, Problems, and Policy Needs,<\/strong>” forty drone start-ups are working to develop drone technology while also lowering drone pricing to make them more affordable to farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Maharashtra government has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the World Economic Forum (WEF) Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution to examine the possibility of employing drones for a variety of government activities, according to the newspaper. Farmers in Maharashtra’s Dahanu-Palghar tribal villages employ drones for organic farming, fish farming, crop rotation, bio-control, hydroponics, and biowaste management, among other things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
