Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced the implementation of “Mukhyamantri Ration Aapke Dwar Yojana” for the convenience and betterment of poor tribal families. Under this scheme, rations will now be transported by vehicles to those villages where there are no fair-price shops. The scheme is going to benefit tribal families of around 7511 villages in 74 development blocks of 16 districts.
The days of each month will be fixed by the District Collector for distribution in the village. On average, 220 to 440 quintals of food items will be distributed by a vehicle for 22 to 25 days (excluding holidays) in a month. An estimated 472 vehicles will be used for the distribution of food. The annual expenditure of Rs 24,000 per month on one metric ton vehicle while expenditure of Rs 31,000 per month will be on 2 metric ton vehicles. Thus, there will be a total of Rs 14.07 crore of expenditure.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed that the state government has decided to give subsidies of more than 20 thousand crore rupees in electricity to domestic and agricultural consumers for the financial year 2021-22. As per the decision taken by the state cabinet, the government will give a subsidy of Rs 4 thousand 981 crores for the domestic consumers under the “Griha Jyoti Yojana”. At the same time, a subsidy of more than Rs 15 thousand 722 crore will be given to the consumers of the agriculture sector.
