According to The Economic Survey 2022-23, agriculture loan flow for the year 2020-21 was Rs 15,75,398 crore, compared to a target of Rs 15,00,000 crore for the year. It further stated that the agriculture loan flow goal for 2021-22 has been set at Rs 16,50,000 crore.

According to the survey, a total of Rs 7,36,589.05 crore has been disbursed through September 30, 2021.

As of January 17, 2022, the government announced a Rs 2 lakh crore concessional credit boost to 2.5 crore farmers through Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs), with banks issuing KCCs to 2.70 crore qualified farmers.

In 2018-19, the government has expanded the KCC facility to fisheries and animal husbandry producers to assist them in meeting their working capital needs. Fishermen and fish farmers have received a total of 67,581 KCCs till December 17, 2021, while animal husbandry and dairying farmers have received over 14 lakh new KCCs through December 10, 2021.
